Students showcase the fine dining skills they learned in our program to parents, teachers, and administration. We prepared a special dessert table for the students to celebrate Valentine’s Day!
Collaboration with Chef Patrick Simpson

Amarimba Charles, together with Chef Patrick Simpson collaborated on a dining and etiquette class for culinary students of The Campus Program. The Campus Program is an initiative of the Office of Senator Jessie Hamilton and provides career readiness and public health programs targeted to teens ages 12-18. The program was created to tackle the cycle of poverty and incarceration in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
Becoming The Best Me Workshop
Our Becoming The Best Me Workshop is an educational program lead by a group of phenomenal volunteers dedicated to enriching the lives of youth in the community.

32 students completed the It Begins With Me social and dining etiquette program. 14 were PreK students.
2nd Annual Appreciation Awards & Scholarship Presentation

Honoring the outstanding individuals who have helped sustain the organization by either facilitating ‘The ‘Becoming The Best Me Workshops’ 2017 or have made substantial financial contributions.Three college bound past participants received $500 scholarship to help with expenses.

Fundraiser for Achievement First Brooklyn High School Speech and Debate Team

Achievement First Brooklyn High School Speech and Debate Team hosted their first at home tournament.
T.A.L.L.O.M. Foundation sponsored lunch which was sold to raise funds for the team.
1st Annual Appreciation Awards
Honoring the phenomenal facilitators of the 2016 Becoming the Best Me Program. Sunday, September 11th, 2016 Honorees: Gina Humber, Marlene Tomlinson, Dhylles Davis and Hayley Johnson-Mckenzie for their commitment to the Organization and the youth.

Presented gifts to outstanding students at P.S. 213 NEW LOTS, alongside Gina I. Humber national speaker on diversity and education who read her children’s book “It’s All Good!”- A book that helps build self acceptance and self-esteem in children who look different or feel different in a world that minimizes people to categories and biases.

Inaugural Holiday Children’s Charity Party

T.A.L.L.O.M. celebrated its first annual Holiday Children’s Charity Party on Saturday, December 12, 2015. We hosted families from the East New York/Brownsville community for transitioning shelters. It was a successful event and each child or family in attendance received gifts and dinner.
